The best way to get to know the place you are traveling in is to walk around and go explore!

With much of its area covered in hills and mountains, Kasos is a hiking and trekking paradise. Although a small island, it has 7 scenic trails that will help you to discover fresh new perspectives of the Dodecanese.

This unparalleled wild feeling of power and freedom that overwhelms each one of us when we trek along paths suspended hundreds of meters above the sea. Like standing on the edge of the Aegean... smelling thyme and breathing fresh air. Don't just sightsee around Fry village, missing a great opportunity to discover the highest points of Kasos island to behold the coastline and get familiar with the agricultural history of Kasos and the uniqueness of this untamed place.

Traversing 50 kilometers, these paths that vary in level are pitch-perfect for those who want to walk along easy paths and they are leading to 74 beautiful landmarks of the island; being some of Greece’s most romantic walking trails, following centuries-old paths through villages, olive groves and vineyards. Reaching each of them brings rich rewards: sweeping views along the coastline of the Carpathian Sea. Also, connecting a network of ancient shepherds’ paths, they wind round the northwest of the island, taking in mountain tops and monasteries, cliffs and beaches and terra-incognita historic caves.

This epic 50km trail route takes around 7 days to complete in full.

The trails of Kasos were unsoiled and marked, with the immense support of the Municipality of Kasos and the Paths of Greece Social Cooperative, introducing Kasos on the hiking network map of Europe.
